Letter #11 “A picture is worth 1000 words”. Random photos with explanations!

Image
Here are just some random pictures of life on the mission.  Grammie Tammie wants to remember them! Papa and Grammie Love movies- but there haven’t been many worth watching.  They have gone a couple of times since being on their mission!  This is the theatre they go to -  the seats don’t recline but they are very comfortable! They have a very small electric oven so Grammie Tammie made a Texas Chocolate Sheet cake but in 3 different pans— only getting to bake one at a time!   Grammie Tammie loves that they have a pool in their complex where she can go and do laps for exercise!  They keep it very clean and most the time she is the only one there! They love going to Costco — feels like going home!  They usually get a good ole’ hot dog while they are there.  Instead of relish they give you jalapeños….but it taste yummy.  It’s one of the few places you can get ice and soda in a paper cup! Here is another time they took a couple of missionari...

Image
Hola Amigos-  So I am not going to get behind in my letters to you anymore!  I am back to tell you about what happened this past Friday Nov. 5th, 2021:  Papa and Grammie picked up the President of the Leona Vicario branch and headed out to an area that was about a 45 min drive away from Leona Vicario called “Ideal” There is a large group of people there who are members of their church but they live too far away to come to Sunday meetings.  There is a Dad and Mom who live in a house that has a big outdoor patio.  They have 4 children.  There is 1 son and 3 daughters.  All of their children are married and they 6 grandchildren.  The 3 daughters all live in small little homes close by their parents and the son and his wife live with them right now since they have only been married about 3 months.  But they all live right there so its almost like they live together.   Grammie Tammie and Papa Ben loved seeing all of their grandkids.  It ...

Here is the little condo all set up to have 8 Elders come over for a spaghetti dinner.  The American Elders were so excited to have “American Spaghetti”!  Grammie Tammie made enough to feed 16 Elders…but if you know Grammie Tammie that is nothing new!  I saw her pack up a bunch of food for them to take home!  Here are 6 of the Elders that came—The other two were late and they didn’t get to have their picture taken with me!!  They came later with the mission President.  He even got to have some of Grammie Tammie’s spaghetti! That very same day Papa and Grammie found out that they are going to have another grandson!!  I heard Grammie Tammie say it was the best thing that happened all month!  They are so excited!!  Their son Tyler and his wife Becca are expecting a baby boy in April!! Papa and Grammie were not sure if they celebrated Halloween in Mexico.  But they found out that they do!  There...

President Marin talking to the group Two sweet sister missionaries from Utah! Elder Tirado who just finished his mission!  He is from Tijuana so they are pretty sure they will see him again!
