Well today was a special day!  Grammie Tammie and Papa Ben FaceTimed with Aidan to wish him a Happy Birthday!  They can’t believe they have a teenage grandson!!  They had fun talking to him!   Here he is eating his birthday breakfast!!  They sure do love this boy!!  Happy Birthday to Aidan!!                Monday Grammie Tammie baked brownies.   You would think that would be an easy task- especially with a mix! But that little oven she has does not work like a normal oven.  She had to put the brownies in again several times to see if she could get them cook in the middle and they never really did!  Oh well!  Lava cake brownies are good too! She made these to take to the missionaries when they went to inspect their apartments! Here is Grammie Tammie with this cute group of Hermana’s!  3 of them are from the USA and the other 3 come from different places in Mexico.  They are suc...

Letter #4 Our weekend on Isla Mujeres 9/10/21

Aqui estoy otra ves!!  Como estan todos?  Oh no- wait a minute!  I forgot who I was talking to!!  I am getting so used to speaking Spanish all the time here in Cancun—but you are mis amigos that speak English! So on Friday the 9th of September, after spending 4 hours at the immigration office, Papa Ben and Grammie Tammie took a taxi from the mission office to catch the Ferry to Isla Mujeres.  They had their suitcases packed and were ready for a fun weekend!  Last time they went to Isla Mujeres it cost them $40 round trip for the two of them.  This time it was only $15 round trip for the two of them!  All because they now have a temporary “green card”.  They decided it was worth the 4 hour wait to get that savings!! Here they are at the “Isla Mujeres” sign!  Every vacation place in Mexico has a sign like this!  One day they will get up early and I will take a picture of them at the Cancun sign.  If you don’t get up early ...

Letter #3- Figuring out our duties and our first visit to Isla Mujeres. Sept 5, 2021

Here I am at last mis amigos!   It has been a bit crazy watching Papa and Grammie try to figure out what is they are supposed to be doing here in the mission!  First they thought Grammie would be the secretary for the mission and Papa would be the financial secretary—but the mission President had another idea!  So now they finally know what they are doing and things are feeling much better and more settled! Papa Ben is going to take care of all the housing for all the missionaries in the mission.  He and Grammie will do inspections of their houses and make sure they are keeping them clean and Papa Ben will also look for new places for them to live when it is necessary (that actually happens often).  Grammie Tammie is going to be helping with the social media of the mission.  They have 2 facebook pages and they put adds on the pages and people will ask questions etc.  She will be helping make the adds and making sure the questions are being answered by ...

Hola! It’s me, Pepito!    Sorry I have not written for 2 weeks—-but we have been so busy!     The second week in the MTC was just as busy as the first one! Here are some pictures of the MTC and also the class your Papa Ben and Grammie Tammie were in. Here is a good friend that Grammie Tammie made during this class.    She and her husband are in the London mission.    They will be working in the office there! Here are some of the teachers they had.    They were teaching them all about the things you have to take care of in a mission office: This sweet lady and her husband had a son who sent over treats all the time!    He wanted to make sure they were popular with their classmates!    Haha!  She and her husband were going to Florida on their mission.  Her husband is a doctor and will be the medical advisor for their mission.  She will be working in the office! This picture is of eve...
